Craftsman Extensions
does any Craftsman Extensions have cross hatching at the top? if not are the
Companion extensions good?

Not that I have ever seen. I have had some Companion tools to go in tractors, they are ok, but they don't have a warranty.

I replace my extension with Snap On, much better

You upgraded to Snap On extensions? Great.
Back to your original question though, my Craftsman extensions do have a crosshatch on them. Mine are wobble though, I don't know about the standard extensions.

With Craftsman only the wobble extensions have cross hatching (knurling is the technical name) at the top. Non-wobble extensions are smooth.
Companions are all right, but if you buy a Craftsman hand tool you've got a tool for life provided it isn't lost or stolen.
Edit: Good to hear about your Snap-On stuff! They've always got good stuff.
