just installed my first 'mod' - a pair of silverstars i got off ebay...i'll let you'all know how they illuminate after it's gets a bit darker here. (man do the stuck bulbs suck)
AMM888, what bulbs did you replace with silverstars? I just replaced the rear tail lights with White Halo LEDs what an absolute difference..
Can you tell me what bulb numbers you used and if it made a difference?
(above edit: "stuck bulbs" should read "stock bulbs")
expoman, i replaced the headlights with sylvania silverstar 9007 st (got 'em cheap on ebay, cost about 40/pair in stores). i took a short ride tonight to test 'em - they seem a bit better, but it's hard to tell. all the streets around here have street lamps, so i gotta find a dark road to really test them out.
Expoman55, you said that you replaced your rear taillights with white halo LEDs, do you mean the reverse lights or the actual tail/signal/brake lights?
Khelms_98 - I replaced the tail/signal/brake lights.. the 3157 with halos.. back ups are next.. I may also replace my actual tail light lense with Altezza graphites.. but I LOVE the led lights..
Kwaskow,
No worries they actually popped out pretty easy.. the sockets twist and the bulbs just really popped out.. Wear gloves in case they break in your fingers
How do you like the LED Halos? Do they look and blink like the LEDs on the luxury cars? I take it that your LED taillights are dual-stage so that they can act as running and brake lights correct? Also, are they as bright as the stocks? I've heard that the LED blink quicker, yet aren't as bright as the stock bulbs. And can you tell me if these are the correct bulbs for my '03....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-RED...QQcmdZViewItem.... Okay, one more question, did you have to have a load-equalizer so that the signal would blink normally and not ultra-fast? Sorry to bombard you with all these questions but I have been wanting some LED taillights for a while but have never talked to anyone who has actually used them, so I'm glad I found you. I just didn't want to spend the money and then be S.O.L. if they didn't work. Thanks for your help. K. Helms
