Chips & tuners
I have a 2001 F250. I want to upgrade the truck. What is the best chip/tuner & exhaust system, for money, on the market today? I also just changed my CPS a couple of says ago. It suddenly went out 100 miles over warranty. (Go figure) Is there anything else that may fail soon that I should be aware of..?

You'll get a wide variety of opinions here. Custom chips are cool because you can get what you want, but they are not cheap. I stared out with a Superchips Micro Tuner (SCMT) and loved it. Now I use the SCT which is about the same thing, but you can run custom tuning on it. Flip chips are nice, but again are pretty spendy. If you go this route, make sure you get a flip on the fly ones.
The order of mods should go like this:
Intake and exhaust
Gauges (boost, EGT's, Tranny temp for auto)
Chip
Your EGT's climb a lot faster with a chip, and you will melt your pistons if you don't watch them. Also if you have an Auto tranny, there will be more heat because stock trannies don't hold up too long to more torque. I have a used, like new SCMT for sale if you are interested. PM me for details.

He's right get gauges, intake and exhaust then a programmer. We sell mor eof the Superchip programmers and or the Edge Evolution for the 7.3's 2 to 1 over anything else. Best overall performance and pricing is right too. As far as exhaust you can't beat MBRP for fit finish and quality at a fair price. Cehck our site and see what you think about gauges 1st.
