NP 435 swap
I am putting in a NP 435 in place of a worn out C6 in a 77 F-150 with a 429 in it. The question that I have is as follows: Are the drive shafts that came with the automatic going to work with the four speed transmission. It all looks to be the same length, but I have not measured anything yet. This is a married set up with the t-case and trans.

was it very expensive to get the driveshafts done? And who does this kind of work a machine shop? And also do they need the vehicle or can I do the measuring and have it done?

NP 435 swap
Expect to pay around $120 to have the driveshaft shortened, balanced, and new u-joints installed. Look in you phone book under driveline service. They will explain to you how to properly measure what you have so they give you what you need..
