I'm trying to research replacing the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor and the Canister Vent Soleniod before I jump in too deep this weekend. I've done a few searches but not much there to answer my questions.
First, what's be best/safest way to remove most of the fuel from the fuel tank?
Any suggestions on dropping the fuel tank? I've briefly looked under the truck and it seems that there's 3-4 straps holding it in. Any steps to follow would be helpful.
Once I have the tank down, do you know where the sensor and soleniod are located? My Chiltons manual doesn't show much detail in this area. I've ordered an FSM CD (service manual on CD) from eBay, but it may not be here in time.
One more question, can a bad gas cap cause the sensor and/or solenoid to appear bad according to the codes thrown?
