Just purchased this truck and will be needing some assistance / insight as to where to locate some (after-market?) renovation materials ie. fiberglass fenders, wood for bed of floor, etc.
Presently the only good thing that I can say is that it appears to have a strong L6 300 cu in engine and the automatic transmission shifts.
any advice will be appreciated re: reputable vendors.
For my '83 F350: Air conditioning R134A conversion parts, radius arm bushings and dist cap from Advance; brake drums, shoes, small brake parts, axle seals, lug nuts and pivot arm bushings from O'Reilly; A/C high pressure cut out switch (HPCO), door and window weatherstripping, and heavy duty jack from J. C. Whitney; fuel pump, power window motors, outside mirror, instrument panel, CB radio antenna, manuals, pintle hitch, etc. from eBay Motors Auction; cruise control parts, steering parts, door panel, etc. from u-pull-em junkyards; radiator, headliner material, and seat upholstry from on-line vendors. Best prices on eBay but you have to bide your time to get what you want at a good price; I think I bid on 5 or 6 instrument panels with the tachometer option before I won one. But, on several items like the fuel pump and power window motors I was the only bidder.
I'm needing to replace the left rear (driver's side) fiberglass fender.
either one of the previous owner's backed into something that pushed the bumper into the fendor ... or he was hit on the corner. eEither way ... same result ... busted out fender.
Know who makes replacement fiberglass fenders for that model ?
