Hi all. I just got a set of old school rim for my truck. They say 9.75 for the width. Can any one tell me if 33-12.5-16.5 will fit on these? They sure look wide compared to the stock rims. Thanks,Erv
That is what I have on it now, and I got a good deal on them. Very old school look. I am hoping the tires I have on it now fit for now. Would like to do a 3-4 lift on it this winter. Then go with a bigger tire next year. If I can I will take a pic of them. Erv
Many of the tire manufacturers have websites where you can look up a tire size and type to see what rims it will fit on. They also give the diameter and how many revolutions per mile it makes etc. Lots of data!
I have 38x15.50 on my 16.5x 9.75 and I have no problem. Just don't air them down and you SHOULD be ok. By the way my Dick Cepeks call for a 9.75"-12" for the 38x15.50. I had 33x12.50 on the same rims before. You will lose the tire off the rim if you air them down. One of my 38's sprung a leak and in less then 50 feet it was completly off the rim sitting in the middle of the road. Not a pretty picture. Make sure you check your tires for nails and stuff and keep them properly aired up.
