Help Me Help Hurricane Victims

I've been Googling all over the place and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Here's the plan:
My dealership has been looking for 2 experienced doll-up persons, and at least 2 qualified Ford technicians for the past few weeks. It dawned on me over the weekend that there just might be some candidates in a shelter somewhere that fill the bill. I've tried posting stuff, but perhaps the sites I went to are just overloaded right now.

HELP ME!! Where can I post this info? Can you put me in touch with anyone that can get the message out there? These people need to provide at least 1 reference, and in return we will provide them with housing, as well, for a mutually-agreeable period of time. We get the employees we need, and some nice folks from the South get a "working vacation" in Western New York during our glorious autumn (or as long as they want to stay, I guess...). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Try http://neworleans.craigslist.org/ Alot of people have been posting there looking for info on lost family and friends from down there. Also people have been offering housing to victims. They mentioned this sight on the news up here.

I found a website set up that is trying to place people from the hurricane. It is katrinahousing.org
I also read, just this morning in the paper, that the local Red Cross chapters are placing people. You can contact them directly and tell them what you have available.
Good luck, and I hope you are able to find some people that can use your help.

The Katrina help section of www.yahoo.com has a couple of work related sites, but not sure if that is what you need.

State Labor Dept sites may have info, not only for LA, MS, AL, but possibly states with lots of displaced people.

Not sure who does Ford certification, but if Ford keeps a centralized list, they might also have a list of names by dealer, that may or may not be of help in locating a worker.

Not sure if Ford would get calls from techs needing jobs, or if Ford has a way of spreading your request through the Ford system.

www.nola.com has a Katrina Reach Out section, or something similar, that includes postings similar to what you have. NOLA , I think, is the temporary webpage for the NO Times-Picayune newspaper.
