Ranger Paint Question
I've got a black 2004 Ranger Edge with Super Cab (4 doors). I just noticed that when I open the back doors, the inside of the doors has a light color showing through--presumably primer. I can't see raising this as a warranty issued, since it really isn't visible on routine use. Is this a common problem? Does this sugges that there might be other paint-related problems? I did have to have the front bumper repainted owing to peeling of the paint on one side of the bumper.

I'd make them repaint just the inside of the door and I'd tell them "it better match in not only color but also orange peal". In other words, it had better not be able to be detected when done by a sharp eye. I've noticed the paint on my 04 chips much easier than on my 94; I'm not that impressed with this aspect of the paint quality my 04 at all. Time will tell. In your case, think about this: if I were looking at your truck as a used truck and found thin paint I'd be suspecting previous body damage. If still interested in buying, I'd make a deduction in price; in my eyes I'd call it diminished value.
