Upfitter Switches
I just registered and about a month ago I bought a new F-350 (2005) that has four "Upfitter Switches" on the dashboard. The sales guy didn't know much about them, nor did he seem to care much. The service counter people looked busy when the sales guy gave us the 5 minute tour of the facility.
MY QUESTION:
I want to hook up my CB to one of these switches. Where is the connection that is operated by these switches? Do I need some "Ford" connector to "properly" connect to these switches?
I looked in the owners manual-no info. And Ford's official site search finds tyhe search words "upfitter swithes" but that reference does not show any details. It shows these as an option but no details.
Thanks in advance for the info,
Phil

Use a ratchet and 10mm socket, remove the (4) bolts securing the fuse panel. The 4 wires going to the upfitter switches are under the fuse panel, and marked. Switch 1 and 2 are 30 amp, switch 3 and 4 are 10 amp. Now would be a good time to add extension wires to the other 3 switches you are not going to be using at this time, so you don't have to drop the fuse panel again, unless you are going to hook up the AIC wire, which is located in a bundle of wires above the emergency brake pedal. Good luck.
