Rear End Fluid
If there is too thick of a gear oil in the rear end would it make it hum if you were in the gas just a very little bit? Thank you for reading this.

It sounds like the gears are either wearing or maybe set up too tight.Are they new?

no the gears are the ones that were in it but i put a locker in it. i set the backlash at around 7 thousandths.

Every time I have heard that noise it was a gear problem,only once in my fords but several times in my friends chebbys
