Glow plug controller
Well I got the new engine in and it sounds great, started right up on the third try.
Now for the problem, If all 8 glow plugs are hooked up to the controller it will come on and stay on and not cycle at all in fact it will start to smoke just a little. If you unplug one glow plug, it doesn't matter which one the system works like it should. When I put the new engine in I installed 8 new Motorcraft glow plugs. I checked the resistance of each one and they were all 0.6 ohms or less. I checked the resistance from each glow plug connector back to the controller and each one was 1.0 ohm or less. I also checked the ground back to the battery and it was good. This controller is only a couple of months old and worked fine on the old engine.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
