Nah John, They just run a hose from the exhaust manifold to the intake there. hey pressure is pressure right. lol. I wonder is someone talked this guy into doing it or if he came up with that on his own.

Hey Great Idea. If we run a hose from the exhaust to the intake we have a closed loop. No pollution! Hmmmm. Perpetual motion? Why didn't somebody think of this before? Plus we get a sort of turbo charging effect: the exhaust pressure would boost the intake flow and the intake suction would help scavenge the exhaust.

Hey, I just thought of an even cheaper blower. Get an econoline van and run it with the dog house removed. Anytime you want to race just floor it and hose a can of starting fluid into the carburator. Yeee Ha! Cheaper than a nitrous kit.

Now that I think about it, ether is a fuel and what we need is more oxygen. Probably the only thing you will get hosing starting fluid down the carburator is a blown engine (literally) and possibly a blown up van . Folks, don't try this at home--at least not with the windows rolled up and without a flame-proof suit! Ah well, back to the drawing board ...

Hey John,
I don't know if I should try this on the little Renault. It's already pretty High strung. lol. It is a 1.8 liter DOHC fuel injected, according to my shop manual it is 10:1 compression, and good for 143HP. lol. All this in a car roughly the size of a late 80's Mazda 323 hatchback. I bet this thing doesn't weigh 2000lbs. Hmmmm. If I were to get an old AC compressor, build a box around the air intake, pressurize the box to about 10 psi using the AC compresssor.......uhh stop it! lol, wonder how this would work. Later Fellas.

The 300 I6 has a dual throat throttle body. We could hook up two leaf blowers. Might as well have gasoline blowers as they have greater output. We can rig a fuel tank good for an evening of racing. Wonder how hard it is to get tank of ether (or could we just pour some in the main fuel tank? Oh yeah! I have dual tanks, I could fill the front tank with racing fuel and the rear with regular and then just flip the switch a moment before the race. Run a cable into the cab to rev up the blowers and we're all set.

Oh man! Lol. Good laughs! I need to find something and supercharge it with something else. It looks like I could have a lot of fun with some things from the shed. My only problem is that I would have to find some other stuff to do the yard work. I've got an old Sears garden tractor. Approx 1965 model. All cast iron. Twin 7 hp engines. One to run the tractor and blades, the other to suck up and grind the grass clippings and leaves. Hmmm. Maybe some aftermarket bolt on's. Lol. Jake.

Hey Jake. I had an old Massey Ferguson lawn Tractor with a blown up 10 hp Wisconson on it, I have a V4 wisconson 40hp off of an older Bobcat 610. I was toying with the Idea of boltng it up to the Massey Just for Laughs. Here is something to do sometime when you are bored. A friend of mine had a 25hp Nitrous kit, I had a Suzuki LT500 Quad racer. We threw a 25hp shot to it just for laughs and took it down an old abandoned road. WOW. I will Never, repeat, Never do that again. The quad was unruly enough. When I hit the selinoid for the Nitrous the front end came off the ground and it seriously over revved, it's a wonder that single lung 2 stroke held together. lol. Ahh the stupid things You do when Your bored.

Hey Brad, Man! At least you know it worked, and worked well. You just need some wheelie bars installed. LOL. My pop has a large garden next to our shop at work. He has a 68' Ford 4400 farm tractor with a 3 cylinder diesel engine. He bought it used/rebuilt last year. It is pretty powerful for an old goat. Clean too. He gets a little edgy when my wheels start to turn if the subject of his tractor comes around. Hmmm.......If I could only..........

For those of you who don't know. That is a late model T-bird in that picture. It is a turbo setup on that engine. Yes it does work. It said in the article that I saw it in that with the leaf blower it was turning 24 lbs of boost and put out an estimated 550hp. I don't know whether or not this article was true but that's what it said.

I just did a search on this leaf blower thing and it seems alot of people do take this seriously. Alot of people don't have the money to drop on turbo's and super chargers, and if somebody did their homework I think this could actually work with good results. But I do have to admit that seeing a leaf blower stuffed under the hood of a car does seem a little silly.

I still think that my Hydrogen Peroxide injection will work though.........
