With gas what it is I'm working to get the best out of my 1982 300-6,I'm woundering does anyone know a good carb cleaner? Back when I was a kid we always used Gum-Out but when I used it,it seemed to make things worse so I was hoping there is a new or better product out there.I've seen you guys talk about Seafoam but I cant find it here in San Antonio TX.
Try calling a auto parts store like autozone, O'Reilly's, Napa, etc... I called all these places and they all had it for around $6-8 or so.
You can pore it down the carb to clean the block and decarbonize it, or put it in your gas tank to clean the carb, jets, an many other things, or both.
I pored it down my carb, and it decarbonized things, made it idle alittle smother with a little lower RPMs, and I'm thinking about putting it threw my gas tank too.
Good stuff.
