Before I rebuilt the engine in my truck, the speedometer needle would bounce/wiggle until I hit 40 mph. Since it sat about 2 months during the rebuild, it now bounces until I hit 50-55 mph. I have greased the cable on the back side of the gauge. Would driving it more often help it any? Any help would be useful...thanks in advanced.

Pull the cable and clean it up and then lube it with good speedometer cable lube.

 

If the lube doesn't work you will need a new speedo cable.
