Rotors/hubs

Anybody know if it possible to convert a Dana 60F front axle from a 76 F250 to use duallie type wheels?

Is that just a spacer that can be added to the rotor/hub, or do the duallies use an entirely different rotor/hub?

C'mon guys. Somebody must know if you can turn a 3/4 ton Dana 60 front axle into a 1 ton front axle.

What he means is dually spindels they stick out farther so you can use budd type wheels front and back. The answer is yes you can do it but you will need from the knuckles out. I beleive you could even use dodge or junk chevy ones if you use there caliper set up. So you would need a donor rear. Check on ebay Ive seen them there because most people buy a dually front end and swap the oppisite of what you want to do.

Go to www.arrowcraft.com they have the parts and adaptors to do what you need to do instead of changing all the spindles and stuff!!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-Aug-02 AT 08:39 AM (EST)]Thanks for the help guys. What we are trying to do here is put Dana 60's under a Jeep. I have the Ford axles with the driver's side drop but really need passenger side drop. Ran into a guy doing the same thing who has a Chevy Dana 60 front with passenger side drop who really needs a driver's side drop. We are working on a trade.

Only hangup is that his axles have the duallie hubs and he wants to keep them that way. Mine have the single wheel type hubs. If I can find a way to convert mine to duallie hubs, he will swap me.

Would be great if we could just swap hubs/rotors from his Chevy to my Ford, but I couldn't be so lucky that that would work. It would depend on the spindles and brake set up.

The Arrowcraft adaptor might be the answer. Find some to fit my Ford hubs for him. Then I would just have to get different hubs for his Chevy axle to convert it to single wheel for my application.
