Went and saw this movie today. It was great. More action than the first one and just as good. Some stuff was unrealistic (the bomb on the bottom of his car...how he removed it) but still a great flick.
I... thought it was pretty bad. I could let the complete unrealism and continuity errors slip were it not for the lousy acting. Jason Statham is awesome, and the fight scenes at least kept me awake (and so did the chick with the eye-shadow... ), but other than that, I thought it was a fairly ho-hum flick.
I have probably seen the first one 10 times, at least. I think it's an excellent movie and was kind of hoping for something along similar lines. The sequel totally lacked the gritty, Euro-Asian feel that I liked in the first one.
I can say, however, it was quite a bit better than Red Eye. I HATED Red Eye.
