I just purchased a 97 F-250HD 7.3L powerstroke diesel and cannot find the engine block heater. Was this standard or an option? Where is it located on the truck? Also where is the power supply cord located? Can I purchase it as an aftermarket and where? Any help is appreciated.
look right above the oil filter thats where the element goes into the block. i think mine has a red cord out of there. if its not there its just plugged and you can buy one from a ford place pull the plug and putter in.
i was taking off my bumper on my 2002 to put on the leveling kit, and a cord fell out below the radiator. look around the bumper vents and behind it, you should find it if you havent already.
