Exclamation Im going Nuts with the rotors!!!!

I have a 2000 F350 Superduty Crewcab 2wd and 4wd with dual rear wheels..My main Problem is 1...figuring if I have Monobeam and 2..How do these rotors come off?? Problem 1 is I have a small axle from 1 wheel to the other the thickness of a broom handle...and a few other small axles/connectors. #2 when I look at the brake caliper to remove it...which I havent done it appears that the Hub and all are going to come off too and Im going to have to attach hub to new rotor??? Hope someone can help me out there...Ive done other brakes...Rotors off rotors on...DONE. Im reading all different stuff here as to how to do this...HELP PLEASE!!!!!! I did notice the tag on rearend that it was 4.10 Gear ratio if the helps...Are there any Pics out there showing Mono beam and NON Mono beam ??? I cant Find any?

Don't reall understand do you have 1 truck or 2? If it is 4wheel drive you don't have mono beam. ALso which end are you having trouble getting rotors off of front or rear? Both slide off without the hubs. The rears are a ittle harder to get off because the parking brake has a brake drum as part of the rotor. All I did was take a good size hammr and wack the rotors on the outside edge to break them loose. they should come right off depending on how much rust and all they have between the studs and the holes in the rotors. Hope this helps. If not let me know.

Also reading throgh some other posts one by BareBackJake reminds us all "Make sure the e-brake is off." you won't get that rear rotor off if it is on...
Good Luck.

Sorry to confuse you...Its 4wd and 1 truck

I have 1 truck and Its 4wd in addition to 2wd so I guess you say 4wd. I need all the rotors for the truck but the Hubs on the front are attached to the rotors with about 8 bolts after the tire is removed so I dont see how the rotor slides right off after removing the caliper...the rotor and Hub appear bolted together !!!!!!!!!

No they are not bolted together. Probably just by rust. Take a good size hammer and hit the rotor on outside edge where the fins are 0<-. and it will pop loose the rears are the same only they have a drum built into them for the emergency brake, so make sure it is off. You might also want to use some wd40 squirt it around the studs and let it sit. You all get lots of rust up your way cause of the salt on the roads so may be quite rusty. Good luck.

It being a dually the rotor "IS" bolted on. You have to remove the bolts to remove the rotor. The torque to replace them is 130 ft lbs.

Yes, the monobeam front axle(aka solid front axle) is the main piece between the tires. The thing the driveshaft hooks to. The other rods are your tie rods and drag links. The steering box is mounted to the driverside frame in front of the motor mount. The arm hooked on it is the pittman arm. The link connected to that that goes to the passenger side is the drag link (it drags the tires side to side for steering.) The one rod in front of the axle is the tie rod. (ties the two front tires together.) Since the rotor IS bolted to the bearing hub, you will have to pull the hub and rotor assembly ie bearings etc. to replace the rotors. Hope that helps.
