Bi amp Wiring question
Since these speakers have the capability to be bi-amp wired, meaning I can drive the sub parts on one channel and tweets on another can I
1. Run the woofers for front and rear hooked up to the same channel on the amp and the same for the tweeters, or
2. should I buy a second 4 channel amp, now having 2, 1 for the tweeters and 1 for the sub-mid drivers?
I am trying to limit the number of amps to 2, as I want ot keep them hidden under the rear beanch seat. Dont want to to attache anything to the sub as I want to have the ability tomove the box forward and back if I need the 3rd row or not.
Thoughts?
1 channel to each set and then split off the x-over to each driver?
I would go this route if you can -- once you get into running each driver off its own dedicated amp channell its alot more complicated to get your gain\x-over slopes and freqs.\and eq set properly --can be done just alot more involved
I think the route your looking at has a couple draw backs--aside from the aforementioned--you will lose fade from front to rear
and you will be running in 2 0hms which may add distortion
plus you will likely be unbalanced running more power to the tweets and less to the mid drivers
if you choose your route I recommend running each driver off its own dedicated amp channell-- at least for your front set

Its just by the time I get the x600 and the x400 plus two capacitors under the rear seat, I'm pretty much out of room.
The BA x5's do have cross overs for each side that are jump-able to run traditional. Which is what I think Ill do based on your note about the fade problem. Spaced that...
Since there will be times when the kids are in the back watching a dvd with the headphones, its a must ot fade out the back so I don't blast them out and hear moaning...
So Ill hook it traditional, and if doesn't perform like I think it should, then well have to get creative for another 4 channel somewhere.
Thanks for your thoughts.!!
