02 PSD F-350 Starting Problem..HELP
Here's my story, 02 f-350 psd dually quad cab.
Truck was running fine prior to my attempt to install an aftermarket "chip" system, exh, and intake.
I installed the exhaust (4" turbo extension back) with a straight through design muffler and tapped it about 6" behind the turbo for the EGT sensor. MBRP stuff, nice for the price, fit good too.
Next, the intake (ok thats a gimme).
Then the Edge Juice sys. with monitor was the install next on the list. I chose this sys. that way i can adjust the settings on the fly since i use the truck to tow daily for my business and drop the trailer to go do quotes.
Anyways, i installed it, which was very simple, but broke one sensor trying to route the crank angle sensor wire. The sensor was something to do with the fuel pressure system located right behind the idler pulley on the top of the engine. Went to Ford this morning and replaced the 125.00 part (OUCH!). Went to start the truck and it would not run. The ignition came on, but the "wait" light was still on. I disconnected the batteries prior to doing any installations to ensure no zaps. I tried to start it anyways but it would not catch. Turns over ok, but didnt start.
SO, i disconnected all the EDGE system( via returning all stock plugs to the sensors) and tried to start again = same problem as before.
I have checked all fuses, all connections (10 times over), fuel pump emr. shutoff. I have tried to leave the connections off the battery for hours and it still yields the same thing. Even tried to touch the pos and neg ends (with all batteries disconnected of course) to discharge the sys. completely.
Is there something dealing with the factory alarm system and turning the key or something i need to do to reset it? Or anything else?
Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.
