Misc Questions
Well I am refurbishing and bascially redoing my 1994 5.8 from the interior to the engine and everything in between. I am puting in blue bulbs in the dash and wondering if the gear selector and Mileage light can be changed. I am thinking of removing the center cap that access this part but was a little leary. I know some of the LED lights like on the 4X4 and defroster button have a rubber green boot over them and was hoping this might be the case with the speedo.
Two things I can't get off are the vent window handle and the ignition lock cylinder cover. (the chrome piece). I ve looked in Hynes and haven't seen anything yet.

You can replace any bulb in there with any color bulb that you can find. If you are leery about taking it apart, then you will not be able to access all of the bulbs. Some bulbs have a colored boot and some do not. I cannot tell you for sure what colors are available but if it lights up, it can be changed. Some people just paint the bulbs, or the lens over the bulbs to color the light, but often that will make them too dark.
