so figured I need to start another thread.
If anyone is interested I will be racing in reasoner IA on sunday Sept 4th starting at 1pm would love to have some of you guys come on up, and either spectate, and visit or enter your trucks in the appropriate classes.
Also there is a race on sept 24th in Lamoni IA which is a sat. that iwll be a night race and I think it starts at 6pm last time the open class finished at like 12:30am but is a good time for all so come on down.
Interesting, it looks like fun, although a bit messy maybe We run a dragster (Chebby powered), but my '91 Ford F250 (and soon to be my '55 F350) are what gets us there and back. You can check it out at: http://www.concretegarage.com/rubriq...id_rubrique=11
You need to go big block Ford powered (just kidding but I bet you would be suprised)
most of the tracks are 165-200 ft long (it's not like drag racing were it's either 1/8th or 1/4 mile) The one in that video was 200' and I am in the low 4s now on those length of tracks with the 39s I had on it in that video I should be able to be in the high 3 second range.
i would love to come up but with the cost of gas and the twins it anit happening. we are racing saturday night out at 34 raceway though. should be a big crowd this week as the sprint cars are a coming. we race in the hobby stock class . And it isnt getting slow in here either. it is a dead stop. i guess with the end of summer coming up people are trying to get some use out of the nice weather before we cant anymore. Give it time it will be a posting war soon enough again.
yeah your probably right guess that means I need to get a life since my average post count has gone up all summer. But then again I get up at midnight to go to work, and don't actually leave till 2:30 so have plenty of time then to post away.
Hey Concrete, is Mike Meier still running his Altered over there? It's been a while since I talked to him, he used to race over there all the time. How about Dennis Rotter? He still running his Funny car? Last time I was to Cordove I watched him win his second UDRA Chapionship...
it looks like it has been slow in here....but i check it every day...im looking to do some body work to my truck but dont have the experince just want to get some light scratches out stuff like that.....id like to see some mud runs.....
Well went to reasoner yesterday, and had a GREAT day took first in both modified, and open class.
I let Jacob (saurin) run the truck through one time here is a video of him driving my truck.....good for a laugh anyway. http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/....php?id=240897
and this second one is actually the last run of the day and was the final run to determine first, and second in outlaw/open class. I think you can tell the truck I am racing against is running paddle tires, he also has a 514cid ford, and running a 200hp shot of nitrous. http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/....php?id=240795
