I recently purchased an F-150 4.2L with 43,000miles on it, and I did all the normal tune-up procedures. I am now looking for a cold air intake, and ran across this Weapon R: Secret Weapon Short Ram Intake (http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-30528.cfm). By all the hype the company puts on the product, it seems to be a pretty good little intake. I need help though, I want a good one, and I don't know which one to buy. Please take a look at the above link, it is the cheapest place I have found to purchase this intake. Thanks for all the support, this is my first post.

Is money a issue? How about the airraid systems? I was going install one on my 4.2, but decided against it. I could do many things and I decided to wait and use my current K&N filter, since it worked well. Well hope this will work out.
The system you ask about is one I have never heard of. It looks like "snake oil" to me.
If you want a new intake system, check on the MAC. It is a good product that is reasonabley priced. You can find them at Motorhaven right here through FTE.
I just checked out the MAC induction systems, and I like what I see. I kinda thought the Weapon R was all HYPE, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask!!

Dude, you took the words from my mouth. Actually, the only difference is how it looks. All that hype in describing the intake is basically what every air intake does.
I just purchased the MAC intake last night about midnight, and I am so excited for it to get here!! Thanks for all the help!! Does anybody know about throttle body spacers and their pros/cons, and whether they would do anything with the gas mileage??? THANKS!!!
From all I have heard, the TB spacers are more "snake oil".
I figure it this way, if a simple spacer would make a big improvement in performance, I'm pretty sure the Ford engineers would have figured it out and put them in from the factory.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I figure you could find better ways to spend your money.
If you run in to any snags installing the MAC, give a shout. Several of us here have installed them in our truck.
TBS are junk. i almost bought one, but glad i didn't. I've heard reports of it restricting power and MPG. Brian had a good point. If it was worth a damn, Ford would have either put one in there or made a longer TB.
Some are even threaded to "swirl" the air around, creating a denser air charge. If that were the case, then why do people port and polish, smoothing all air passages?
You want some bang for the buck try these out....
Intake
Cat-back exhaust, or even better, flowmaster 2.5" in 3" out Y-pipe to 3" exhaust
Efans
Underdrive pulleys
Headers
Custom Tuner/Chip
More or less in that order. Myself, i have a Flowmaster orignal 40 muffler, MAC intake and headers. I've had the flowmaster Y-pipe forever now, but haven't gotten around to ordering up a 3" muffler (going to be flowtech warlock) and having it all installed.
Good power gains, but with my 20" rims i'm still slow and averaging 15mpg
******Note
After lowering my truck, i got the notorious "MAC coupler problem"
The coupler connecting the MAF the intake piping kept coming loose, and my truck would die, often times on the freeway. Either by coincidence, or b/c the lowered suspension jarred and bumped it a lot more.
Went to Home Depot and (over)payed $5 for a thick-*** black rubber plumbing coupler, which i actually slip OVER the old crappy blue one. Works like a charm, no problems since.
