Got Harrison weighed this week-end at the Bartow County Land-fill....he weighs in at 4210 pounds. Is that about right for an F-100 with NO accessories (not even power brakes)?...Doesn't that sound a little....."heavy"?...
yeah i think mine sits at around 5000 lbs.. course there's some additions to weigh it down a little .... 1/8 plate box floor.. frame repairs... bondo... tool box and tools... bondo... fiberglass.... bondo... stereo.... and bondo...
Hoo hah ha ha...10-4 on the bondo!! I don't have any bondo on Harrison; just rusted out holes --- makes him more of a "sleeper" that way. Plus when I have engine trouble, I don't have to get out of the door and push...I can do the Barney shuffle - just stick my feet through the holes in the floor and run!!
i'd say that is about right, my truck tips the scales at a healthy 5500. course its a 250 2x4 with all the goodies, power this and that.plus i put tires on it that are 16.5x9.75 not sure of the actual hieght cuz it doesnt say but i need to check.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Aug-02 AT 07:11 PM (EST)]That's a bit high. My 79 F100 (302, C4, A/C, P/S, nothing in bed or cab) weighs at 3600 or some odd digits. And it's maximum GVWR is 4800. Not even 1000 pounds available!? Guess it's why they call it F100.....a car with a truck body.
yeah, it's funny that some of the f-150's were rated at 6500 gvw... but the f-100's started at 4800... only difference i've seen is in the rear leaf springs... 6 insted of 4... that's y i've got a set on mine...

Yeah, I'm sure they do. My 77 F150 Custom, no A/C, Just a good old 460 with ps & pb weighs in at 4480 with 1/4 tank of gas. My GVW is 6050#. And I've actually has 5000# of crushed brick in the back of her once. She squatted but the 32 11.50's never rubbed. I was shocked. Ford Tough. I did have the 1/2 leaf 1500# overload springs on it though.
