Build Sheet
Got my envelope from Ford Motor Co. yesterday. What I actually got was a very nice letter from their customer service division and not a reproduction of the origional build sheet. The information in the letter has all the original specifications and optional equipment for my truck at the time of manufacture. They gave me the exact date of manufacture followed by: Wheel base, paint scheme, body style, type of seat, seat covering and color, GVW, trans. type, gas tank configuration(I have a short bed with dual tanks), front spring option #, type and ratio of the rear axle, power steering, size and type of tires, optional rear window(sliding), AM radio, tinted glass-all around, cigar lighter, protection group, extra cool radiator and wheel covers.
I just ordered an origional of the sales brochure from AutoKrafters. I'm trying to figure out what "spring option #1" is and what the "protection group" consisted of. This is like trying to do a family tree, it keeps getting bigger.
Hope this helps anybody out there thinking about contacting Ford.

Dennis,
Good evening from Ohio. My truck is a '77 shortbed stock as a rock with the exception of the wheels. They came from a Bronco that had a free wheeling package but the owner wanted something aftermarket so I have Ford stamped wagon wheel spokers that are painted the same as the main color of my truck with a 3" stainless ring installed.

Jerafenser,
I called Ford in Dearborn, Mi. direct. Their phone number in on their web site. You will have to work your way through the computer answering system until you can get a live on in the customer service division. All the really need is your VIN# but they will ask a ton of questions to get you into their data base. Hope this helps and you find what your're looking for.

Can't do it by web site. You have to call Ford. U.S.- 1-800-392-3673
Canada - 1-800-565-3673 Outside U.S & Canada -1-313-594-4875. A computer will answer, just keep picking the options that fit until you get a live person in their customer service division.
