drag link

was looking at my steering and noticed that on a hard left turn my tire rubs my drag link. i took out the stops to put on disc brakes and am not sure how to adress this. im thinking of (1) putting stops (2) waiting till i get my final set of tires and rims to check offset. has anybody had this happen?

Wade -

Your story reminds me of the guy who went to the doctor and said his arm hurt when he raised it. The doctor said "don't raise it".

So, don't turn hard left.

Randy,
Never let it be said that you are not helpful, although you do make a great point, and if you do need to make a hard left all you have to do is stand on it and slide the rear end around the corner in a could of tire smoke.

Fish, might as well see what its like with your final tire and wheel set up. I think that thre has been many steering arms modified with the "blue torch" over the years due to issues like this.

On the 48 - 50 F1's it is better to turn to the right anyway. The turning radius is 21 ft. to the right and 22.5 ft to the left. Turning right saves time.

I think I'll have a similar problem but in the opposite direction. I mounted my steering box ahead of the axle. theres a slim chance that my tires might rub on a hard right turn. I'll have to wait and see after I get the tires and wheels that I'm going to be running installed.

Fish, the answer is to build a bigger shop out back that you can pull straight into
