Seafoam
I used Seafoam in my 95 Aerostar and what a difference. I also removed the baffle from the airbox, another difference. 180,000 + miles. Original Tranny and Motor!!
You guys were right, that puppy smoked so bad that the neighbors went running. I followed the directions to the tee and what a difference, it idles so much nicer and take off is great and it takes hills so much better. A new car.
If you all haven't done it yet, do so, it will smoke bad and make sure you follow directions.
Thanks for the information you guys provide on this forum.

I was hoping to clean it out so I can run regular again without pinging!
Anyways, I used the can marked with "SeaFoam" (no sarcasm there really!!)http://www.seafoamsales.com/. I bought it at a Car Quest auto parts shop. The can is white and red. I used 1/2 a pint, or an 8oz in the little womans measuring cup is great, it is clear and I used the brake booster line. I reved it up high, inserted hose until it died and let it sit for a while then started it and ran it. It smoked very very bad. Just remember to clean the measuring cup thoroughly and put back unoticed. My Aerostar has just under 180,000 and it sure helped, it idles much smoother, climbs hills better, starts right up, and with the baffle removed on the air box, just seems to have a little more ooommmph to it. haven't had a chance to check mileage yet but I'm sure it's better.
Hope that helps.
Later.

I'm going back in a few weeks to try the salmon again. If you see a salmon with a rig sticking out of it's mouth, let me know. Gold Beach, Oregon area up the Rogue River. 25lb'er bout 20 miles from the mouth.

great on the 25 lb'er fight, what a fish in fresh water, they never quit, fight until they rip the hooks out or break 30 lb test.
headed south on Oregon coast this weekend for the Redwoods. will throw a hook in the Rogue on the way.
Columbia has been hot for upriver bright Chinook to 45 lbs and fall Chinook fish are thick, silvers starting.

It still pings on regular gas. Worse with the A/C going.
Good luck next time with that salmon. Watch out for bears!
Yeah, have fun dropping a hook. I plan on going back in a couple of weeks or so.
