Gibson

Just wondering if anyone has ever used gibson exhaust or one of their mufflers.

How is the quality?
Does it sound ok on the 300? (ricey, rapping, ect.)

I was thinking of a 2.5" in / dual 2.5" out or dual 3" out

I have had my gibson for a few years now. It sounds good but it is mellow. I wish it was a little louder. The tone is nice. Its not ricey at all.

What size pipe do you run?
Single or dual?

I got the cat-back system that exits just before the pass. rear tire. It is 3" single from the cat to the muffler and 2.5" dual out. The 2.5" section is only about 12" long. I could not keep the tips looking good no matter how hard I tried. Right in front of the tire got all the road slime and water. I got tired of it so I cut them off about 6". That was my only complaint about the muffler.

They don't make a cat-back for my truck, so I was looking at their mufflers and was going to order some SS tubing and weld up my own exhaust system.

I was thinking 2.5" in and dual 2.5" or 3" out
I like the idea of using SS for lonegevity reasons, it should last longer than
my truck provided a rock or something doesn't rip it off.

I just put a cat back 3 inch system on my 95 that fit like a glove. It went on perfect. I even put on a Full Line 2 to 1 hi flow converter replacement up front. That went on perfect also. I now have a single hiflow converter with a big gibson muffler and 3 inch system. It sounds great. Not too loud, just a smooth mellow tone. I am quite impressed.
