Cannot locate problem with engine missing

Hi,
I have a 1992 F-150 with 5.0. 135,000 miles. The issues is that there is a slight miss. During moderate of heavy accelaration it is not noticed. During idleing, it may miss about three times a minute. It is very noticable while coasting down the road from 20 to 40 MPH with just enough acceration to maintain speed. Then it seems to miss about 15 to 20 time a minute. You can barley feel it, but I feel like a bobble-head going down the road. So far the following has been done at auto shops:
New plugs, wires, coil, roter and cap, fuel filter.
Diagnostics: All the following was with-in specs. Fuel pump pressure has been tested, pressure regulator, pressure at the fuel injectors, fuel injector voltage reading. The shop stated that they checked all connections.

They even attached a tach and drove it and said they could see it drop. Spent $175 for a complete chemical cleaning off the fuel system and valves.
One person stated that this is a classic sympton for a serverly streched timing chain. The shop tested for that and stated that they there was no noticable play in the timing chain.

Any help would be appreciated
