Road Noise???

Road Noise???
Just a question for everyone -- I'm not sure if I'm being OCD, or if I'm really hearing something...
Accelerating and letting off the gas to slow down, I seem to hear significant road noise, like I can hear the tire treads going along on the pavement. My tires are properly inflated.
I have an '03 XLT with 29K that I just bought used - I had an '00 Sport, but then had a Toyota car for a few years-- so I'm not sure if I'm just used to the quietness of cars as opposed to the more "truck like" ride of the Exps....
Does anyone have any input on their "rides" ride???
