6.0L VS 7.3L issues

I have a 99 F350 SD 7.3L with 67K miles with an automatic trans and have had tourque converter noise for some time. When I talk to others I found that this is an issue with most of them. I also found that other know issues are Oil Pans Rusting out and wheel bearing problems.

The Water pump shaft broke and I also broke the pinion gear on the front end. I really don't work this truck very hard. It is my daily driver

Since this truck has given me problems I am considering getting an 06 F350 6.0L with a manual tranny.

What are the known issues with the 6.0L?
I have read many of the threads, but have not seen a list anywhere.

In my opinion this would be a valuable piece of information. I know vehicles can have problems, but I would like to know before I spend $45k on a vehicle what major problems to look for.

I can understand a vehicle having problems at 150k miles, but I only have 67K

Thanks in advance for any input

*MOST* (hopefully all...) problems seem to have been takin care of for the '06's. I mean you might a get the little things here and there but as far as major problems thee seems so far to be non in the 05-06's. I think you'll be ok getting one personally.
