Power lock button don't work
My driver’s side power lock button doesn’t work when the door is wide open on my 1997 Explorer Limited. It does work when the door starts to close. I suspect a broken wire were it flexes. Has anyone taken apart that rotary cable harness between the door & body? Do I need a new harness? Thanks Fiddler5.0

Many have taken the rubber boot apart to fix a broken wire. If you can isolate which one is the ground wire, that is what most people say needs repair. Although I am not sure why the ground wire is more likely to break than any other. I've not actually taken mine apart, but I would think it would be easiest to replace the right wire than try to fix it or replace the whole harness.
