I'm looking for a way to mount some off-road lights on my '96 Bronco. I would prefer a rack that mounts on the roof and attaches to the drip rails. I have seen other Broncos with them but can't seem to find anyone that sells them.
do you have plans to lift it at all? if so you might think of another location to mount lights because anything on the roof could get ripped off while offroading. also lights mounted up there tend to put a major glare on the hood. not trying to change your mind but to think about all your options.
Thanks for the replies. No plans to lift at this point. Just thought the extra altitude of the roof might help the light spread for better visibility fore and aft.
that really depends on what light you get more then anything. in texas your dealing with more sage brush then trees and such so being a bit higher probably helps but there is a point that the light really doesnt hit anything also if you know what i mean.
Look on ebay they have the bars you need it comes from a company called "Rock Rats" I do belive but I think they were selling the whole setup for around 150
If you mount the lights far enough back on the roof you should be able to avoid most of the glare on the roof if not all of it depends on how tall the lights are and how tall the rack is.
