1965 ford with Gilmore power assist I could count the turns to give u a starting point
[QUOTE=Farm Truck;266372]Anyone have the repair kit part number? My Ford dealer here isn't too swift. I need ammunition. I disassembled mine because of severe leaking on the "O" ring end. Other end has a regular gasket but I don't think it was leaking there. I noticed in the center of the "O" ring there appears to be some sort of diaphram and upon initial inspection appears torn. Am I assuming correctly? Haven't tried to take it off or anything. Also, when I removed the spring tensioning nut upon disassembly I failed to count the turns. I assume this plays a role in balancing hydraulic flow. Guess I'll just have to guess at how much to retighten it unless someone can give me some pointers. The steering has always drifted right severely since purchase.[/QUO

You're asking a question about a 1965 F600 in the 1973/79 Forum, so how many people will know what you're talking about?
I've never heard of Gilmore Power Steering and FTE member Farm Truck hasn't posted in this thread since 9/4/2002!
