Well i survuved the first day of class. . .

Well i survived the first day of classes in my first year of welding engineering technology up here at SAIT in calgary alberta. Anywho it kinda got me wondering what everyone else in here took or is currently taking for postsecondary education, this program (i can get a link for its description is anyone wants) is my first step (a big first step ) into the wonderful world of fabrication in the automotive aftermarket.

well i'm still here . Basically this program covers the engineering behind the weld, and entire welding process, how to compensate for stresses places on welded objects, etc. Its a great class, and once i get through it i'm going to transfer into the mechanical engineering tech. program as well.

Anywho here's a link to the program that i'm taking: http://www.sait.ca/calendars/daycale...urses/awet.htm

What a small world. Last night I started my first welding class at the local community college. I already know how to weld, but only what my uncle showed me. I'm just taking it to get the fine points and get more practice.

I thought it was spelled brane..

Seriously though, once you get your degree, you'll have more confidence even in your self, I bet it's like walking across the stage at graduation from high school, where you feel happy and strong.

Yep and the nice thing about the program i am taking is that its not uncommon to start at 75000 a year, 60 is the norm so all in all i think i'll do fairly well.

Oh yeah ivan, second year we do tig welding, and i'm thinking that a trophy or two made from beer cans would be in order for the COTY .
