i dont have any pics of rigs but have seen them. they look kewl with large tires under it but also know that they can get damaged if you wheel hard and are way expensive to replace. basic fender triming to run large tires would be best. what are you looken at doing here?
i planned on putting some on for the cool factor and also i had some rust on the drivers side rear fender. i took care of that by cutting out all the rust to clean metal.filling with figerglass cloth and resin and then glasstron body filer and duplicolor paint. its not the best job but it works and im pretty sure i got all the rust cut out.i sprayed a rust inhibiter on the inside of the underside of the panel too.
the reason i ask is iwas wondering how far the flares came up on the body. you know to hide my not so perfect body work. ill post some before and after shots of the body work.
I installed bushwackers on my 86 Bronco for exactly the same reason. Classic rear wheel well bronco rust. Cut out the rusted metal, treated with POR 15, slapped on the fender flares. Looked great and rust problem solved.
heres the before and after pics. like i said not he best but it works.
