no power to back window

I have an '85 Bronco, I am not getting power to the back lock to roll down the back window. I plan on wiring my own switch in the dash but i dont know what i should take power from for the switch. any ideas?

Are you looking for constant power or just Key on power to this switch?

Is there a switch on the heater controls or something? Is there a way to operate the window from the front in an 80-86 Bronco at all?

if so you could maybe rewire the existing one (switch)? or at least find out why it isnt getting power back there anymore and fix the trouble area....

the switch on the heat control dose not work at all, I am looking for key on power only. That is a good idea to re-wire the old switch and by-pass the old wiring, then just replace the switch that is in the heat controls, I suppose I just need to play around with it some more and try to find out why the key dose not have power.

thanks

there is a bar/rod or something in the tailgate that turns power off to the key switch so the motor won't turn when the gate is down.

its been a while sine i was inside a bronco gate

try the bronco forum. this is wiring, but it is so bronco specific that no one can complain.
