'92 7.3 combustion type

Looking at buying a '92 F-250 with a 7.3. I am wondering what type of combustion chamber or lack of it has. Direct injection, or is it a pre-cup or energy cell? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

92 would have a 7.3 indirect injected engine natural aspirated. They use pre-cups.

The old IDIs use precups they work pretty good they do crack around the cups in the heads. They are indirect injection its why the IDIs are fairly quiet but they are low on power because of it.
