Question 1999 Explorer spitting trans fluid

I have a 99 Explorer with 4.0L OHV with 148,000 miles on it. At 90,000 I changed the transmission filter and fluid. Our local Valvoline had a deal on transmisssion flush so I went ahead and had it done about 10,000 miles ago. Shortly after it was done I noticed trans fluid under the truck, thought they may have spilled some so I cleaned it off and it stopped. Last weekend I towed my boat 300 miles, when I stopped the bottom of my was soaked with tranmission fluid. After checking the dip stick I could see it leaking out the top of the tube. Checked the level and it was over the full mark. Cleaned it off and drove 300 miles back with no problems. No shifting problems at all, nothing I noticed about shifting. Did they overfill it or do I have some type of problem? On my reciept it looks like 28 pints which seems a little much.

Sounds overfull. The way to check it is to have it warm, hold the brake down, go from park to reverse and feel it engage, then to drive and feel it engage, then to park. Leave it running at idle, pull the dipstick out, wipe it clean, insert it fully back into the tube, then pull it out and read.
