Hmm.. Last week I was listenin' to BIlly joel, chris issak, ben folds, and dave mathews.. (what a mix?!) This week it seems to be pearl jam, newsboys and pillar...... Anyone else here have these strange musical moodswings?
Oh yeah. I go through spurts where all I want to listen to is Western Swing - Bob Wills, Asleep at the Wheel. Then a day later I'm cranking up the Georgia Satellites. The same day it might be Del McCoury followed by John Lee Hooker. I think most people who like music like a much wider variety than what broadcast radio is offering... but don't get me started on that.
If you guys suffer from musical moodswings, I must be pms'ing like none other. (Sorry ladies, had to do it) Browsing through the files on my computer, I may listen to Metallica, then to Johnny Cash, off to Social Distortion, then to (hey, who put that on there..skip), maybe some classical, and back around again. Punk, country, death metal, reggae, alternative, all within half an hour.
It's called "Musical Gourmandism", and you should only worry if you get hooked on the "Bay City Rollers" and are stuck there for the rest of your life...
