I had plans for installng headers as well as sway bars. I found a pair of heddman heders as well as sway bar at summit racing. But the header fitment instruction says that I cannot have sway bars if I want to install the headers. is this true?
Alot of the times the headers get in the way of everything, bell housing, etc, etc..., so that wouldn't saprise me, b/c I don't think to many of these trucks came with swap bars, so heddman headers might not of designed them to go around the swap bars.
I have a '73 F100 2wd 390 4spd with dynomax ceramic coated headers and a factory front sway bar off a '79 F250 camper special. The sway bar mounts in front of the axle and does not interfere with the headers at all. I'm told that some factory swaybars were mounted to the rear of the front axle - which would get in the way of headers. I'm also very pleased with the headers, ceramic coated, lifetime warranty, thick flanges and no fitment problems or leaking - only $225 in Jegs.
I have a 77 F-150 4X4 with a 460 C-6 combo and L&L chassis exit headers. I have the stock front and rear sway bars (79 Bronco) installed on mine and no problems. -Ed
