After gradually adding on different accessories to my truck I've now got a nest of assorted wires running to both + and - terminals of my batteries; everything from 1/0 amp cables to 16 guage wire for accessory lights & such.
I'd like to clean up my mess. I've got optima yellow tops which have both top posts and side connectors. Can I use the top posts for the battery connectors and also use the side posts for accessories?
If anyone else has any hints/tips or pictures of a nice looking electrical under-the-hood setup, I'd love to see them.
To clean up the mess you can zip tie wires together, then put on an electrical sleeve over a little bunch of them that kind of makes them disapear. Doesn't cost much money either ~$5.
I just noticed that.. for one, ground should be kept relatively short, and two it will clean up your compartment quite a bit. Just make sure it's a clean ground no matter what you're grounding.
