Need help with lift specs

Im trying to find a web page or document online stating if the 02 F250 Offroad package sits higher than a stock truck without the offroad package. Or maybe a page with the measurements so I can prove to the Military base how much lift I have on my truck.

There is some guy running around here on some 44s and getting the MP's to start enforcing their lift laws. I can come close to the 6" lift numbers Im sure but Id like to check it myself first before to much more time passes. To answer your question it is the provost marshalls office is the ones needing to know.

Clowns man. I'll do some peeking around and see what I can find. Sounds to me tht if they don't know the numbers they have to be able to prove it to do anything about it.

What the hell? What are the lift laws in NC? Is it headlight height, or frame/bumper height? I've never heared of the amount of lift being the determining factor because each truck will sit a little different.

Bunch of Pogues...just tell them a stock frame to axle measurement is 12" and you'll be good (jk)

For 04's and below anyway the frame to axle on a 4x4....is really 7.5" on average. Its measured from the bottom of the frame by the bumpstop to the top of the axle on the right front of the truck.

Here's what I found on state lift laws. It's not showing any for NC.

Yeah...doesn't look like anything.

What exactly are the MPs saying the lift law is?

They say the are going along with the NC state laws which they say states no vehicle can have over 6 inches of suspension modification up or down. My truck is registered in WV and I have a current inspection sticker on it but I guess I must still go along with what the base says. It is really getting to be a pain in the a*$ dealin with the idiots at the front gate every morning. I know Im not changing my truck so maybe they will change there laws. LOL

Bear, sounds like they're just giving folks a hard time. That's why I was saying, if they don't know it's their responsibility to prove he's wrong somewhere.

If the PM needs to know, I guess the PM better do some research, otherwise take a hike.

Tell them to show you where they are pulling this from. Call the DMV just to make sure though.

Here's one more. It looks like it may be 6" max in NC.

another,

and one more,

http://www.800-923-jeep.com/techCorner/lift_laws.cfm

I'd make them find the info though.

Have things changed? Back in the early to mid '90's when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, getting a ticket from an MP was no different than getting a ticket from the Fayetteville PD. We still had to fight the ticket in civilian court, so arguing with the Provost's office was useless, is it different now?

A little. Now you have to see the magistrate if it's on post. Just like going to court, but nothing on-post goes to your driving record.
