Boost gauge help
Hey guys I need your help. On an OBS, which hose will I be installing "T" fitting for the boost gauge? Is it the hose that goes from a module on pass. side firewall that has 3 wire connector in it (it's next to AC unit), to the intake manifold on pass. side of engine? I want to be sure before making final cut, thanks in advance, aloha.

Yep, got all gauges working. All of a sudden I got all this information that I can't believe I've been doing without. Interesting how I had expected to see something with the boost gauge, but after reading couple of post I now understand how boost functions. Now debating between chip or programmer, any suggestions?

For power the chip is the unrivaled king of electronic tuning, but there are lots of functions the programmers provide...code readng, data logging, etc. that programmers do that chips can not.
You need to decide what you want. I choose the chip, and I read codes with a code reader...lots of options for those too.

I noticed today that my trans. temp. in stop and go traffic will get as high as 190. Trans had filter and fluids changed about 3 months ago so I know that's not an issue. My question is-will a programmer (probably SCMT) affect my trans. temps? I'm not a rich man so gotta prioritize my investments. Thanks in advance, aloha.

I think if anything it would help the tranny temp. The faster shifts from the increased line pressure should reduce slip and keep the temps down some. I'd imagine in a practical application there will be no real change.

Yep, cookie's dead on. I'd look into a tranny cooler in the future though. Nothing kills a tranny faster than heat. I personally prefer a chip instead of a tuner, simply for ease of use, the ability to switch settings on the fly, and best power for the buck. I'm running the Diablo chip right now (and it's worked great), but want to get a custom burn from Tipton. Good luck!

Thanks guys for the confirmation. I'd like nothing better than to increase performance now with the gauges, but just wanted to make sure I shouldn't be doing something else first. Thanks again, aloha.
