Question Trip Computer Temp

Hello All... New to the Site... But been a long time reader and LOVE IT!!!

Anyway

I have a 00 PSD with the over head trip computer... And the Outside temp reading is STUCK to -40 degrees!?!?! (NO its not that cold YET in ILL) I have talked to the dealer and he said change the sensor in front behind the grill... 21.99 Later and no luck

So I am open for Suggestions... Resetting does not help (by hold down the 2 buttons for so many sec) that just allows you to ajust the compass.

The wire between the temp probe and the O/H console is light blue with orange trace if you want to try to check it. Assuming the other functions are still working the whole module probably isn't bad, you might try dropping the module and looking for a broken wire, connector, resistor, etc. along that circuit.

No problem at all. There have been a few of us that have had the display go dark...there are a few tiny little resistors on the back side of the module that come loose and have to be soldered back on. Possibly something similar happening with yours.
