engine degreasing?

engine degreasing?
Has anyone had great success degreasing their engine/engine compartment
on their PSD? I'm a little nervous about sprayng water in the engine compartment to rinse the degreaser off? Any recommendations on effective cleansing methods would be appreciated. Any particular degrease?

Thats what i use to.But i just cover the alternater,cause the last time i did it i had to take off before it had time to dry.The alt got so hot it burned it self out.Worst part about it is that the idot light never came on.It was putting out current,but not enough to charge the batts.So the batts went dead.

Nope. The low pressure keeps water from being forced into the weatherpack connectors, and the simple green hasn't hurt anything at all that I can tell. I do have to remove the intercooler boots and reclean them afterwards, the simple green makes the rubber so slick that they'll slide out from under the clamps the first time that I high boost it afterwards....nothing a little shot of hairspray won't cure.
