I was just playin with my truck in the drive way.Just cleanig stuff like that. Some guy in a brand new 05 stop and offered me 3K for my little truck. He was serious he actually had the money on him.I paid nowhere near that for it but have done a fair bit of work to it.Have a look and tell me I"m not a little stupd.I said no I"ve wanted a truck like this for a long time.
I was offered 5 for my 85 right after i waxed it. But the guy was driving a 2500HD out of state. Either way i wouldn't of sold her.
She's mine forever i wouldn't take 50K for her, my mom said i was crazy because i bought it off an old farmer for 1700. But it was my first truck and i'm not letting go.
I'd sell my truck, maybe, depending on how much somebody offered for her. I love my truck, and I don't want to part with it, but given enough money, I'd sell her and buy a better truck. I just hope I can earn enough money in the next year to buy a car for college without having to sell my truck.
nah im with ya man. i never would have sold my truck. the only reason why i did was my parents. they helped pay for most of it and my ma just did not want it at the house. but i never wouldve sold it if i had anything to do about it! well have fun with the truck man!
Years ago I was offered 10k for a truck I bought for 8500 a year earlier. It was in nice shape and I did a lot of "restoring" to it. I painted the frame and replaced a lot of parts...etc...
That red one in my gallery, which is now destroyed lol RIP
Got my other truck though, and I'm happy.
That other one was my first truck and was hard to let go.
It was a very fair price in US dollars (though in Canada $3000 =$2300 US? ) , if you wanted to sell. Though if you do not want to sell, then nothing other then 3x retail would be reasonable ;-D
I think the I-6 C-6 combo makes for a sweet little dependable hauler. I would not sell it unless I needed a bigger engine. You can't beat the I-6 for being dependable and easy to work on. Plus, red looks good!
Your right it does make you feel good about your truck. And the fact that you know what you started with, and im not any where near completion. But seeing 3Gs just pulled out like that and he does'nt really have a clue what he is buying. It does put a smile on your face.
actually come to think of it, I've had this happen.
I always get the knowing nod from old farmers over my inline6. Seems alot of them like the old body style too
when I bought my diesel for $3k, I was offered 5k within the first hundred miles.
couldn't do it tho, I'd looked hard for a good diesel.
