Hey guys I wanna know what you would do in this situation
My buddys dad has a 2wd 76 f250 camper special with a 390 and auto tranny. He told me he would make me a deal on it (500 bucks). But it needs new exhaust, rear shock mounts, rear shocks, and rear tires. I know all that is gonna cost me a bit of money but i think im gonna go for it. what would you all do?

hmmm, I will be doing the same this weekend, I found a 1976 4x4, F150 ranger with a 360 4 speed transmission. The buying price is $500.oo dollars. It need parts also, It need tires, coil, duraspark module, it has dual tanks but he left the fuel caps off the tanks. I will be flushing out the tanks prior to starting the engine. I figured with a investment of approxiametly 1000.oo dollars, i will have a cool truck. It light blue with one chrome moldings running the length of the truck on both sides.

I say go for it. The parts you are replacing are parts normally replaced when buying a truck.

I say buy it. A guy can't have too many old Fords around. Oh... and ditch the Duramax too.

hey now not quite. we had a duramax pull our tractor out of mud and the tractor was sunk up to its rear axles, and the tractor weighs somewhere around 9000 pounds. the truck pulled it out after a turbo charged farmall 560 diesel had a failed attempt at it. i would say that truck has some ***** to be able to do something a turbo diesel 60 Hp tractor cant do.
