'05 HVAC/Climate Control problems

I was in town today and when I started my truck up the HVAC/Climate control was dead, no light or indication on the control panel and no fan. Since I was near a Ford dealer I swung in to the service department to have it checked. The service writer told me they have had several instances of this in the shop and have never found/fixed the malfunction. It always just returned to normal and they couldn't duplicate the problem. I didn't leave the truck with them as I had to get home and get ready for work. Mine came back to life about 30 minutes after it had failed.

Has anyone else here experienced this? If so was there any resolution?

theres a thread here some were not long ago. it was the control head that went south.untill it dies the dealer is going to have fun tracing it

I have an 05 built in July of 04. In August 04 I started up the truck and encountered the same issue. I turned the truck off and restarted it. The unit came on and have never had the issue again. I'm asumming you have the auto-climate control unit.
